How to create a new fan Profile and apply it to your fans โ€‹

Profiles are what CoolerControl uses to automatically apply settings to your fans.

Open CoolerControl โ€‹

You can open up the coolercontrol desktop application or use the Web UI.

1. Create a new Profile โ€‹

Use the quick add menu to create a new Profile.

2. Hover over your new Profile and click on the Rename icon to change your Profile name โ€‹

3. Enter a descriptive name for your new Profile and click Save โ€‹

4. Click on the Profile Type dropdown โ€‹

A tooltip will explain what the different Profile Types are for.

5. Select Graph โ€‹

You can experiment with other Profile Types later.

6. Click on the Temperature Source dropdown โ€‹

7. Select the temperature sensor you want to use for your Profile โ€‹

8. You can now use the Profile editor to drag and drop points for your custom curve โ€‹

Clicking on the info icon at the top will give you hints on what mouse controls are available. For example, left-clicking on the line will add a new point and right-clicking on a point will remove it.

9. Click on the Save button to save your changes โ€‹

10. Now we can apply our new Profile to your fans. Click on a fan channel in the main menu โ€‹

11. Click on the Profile dropdown menu โ€‹

12. Select the Profile you created โ€‹

13. Click on the Save button to apply the Profile to the fan. โ€‹

You should now see that the fan speed change according to your Profile settings. You can apply the same Profile to multiple fans. If you want to use another temperature sensor for another fan, just repeat this process with a new Profile with a different temperature source.
